Content

Product packaging consists of much more than a functional container made of glass, cardboard, or plastic that encloses and protects the content - it is the product's face, its first contact to the consumer. Successful packaging design must therefore present a combination of shape, color and composition that catches attention, represents the contents, and seduce the customer. An integral part of the product image, it becomes itself an identifying characteristic of a brand.

This book presents todays most attractive and innovative packaging solutions for solid and liquid products, as well as milestones, such as the sculptured Coca-Cola bottle, which have achieved cult status as design icons.
