Like a seismograph the Berlin Architectural Association’s yearbook is trying to probe in which direction building culture in the capital is heading. The chronicle compiled glances backwards at the year 2008: What stood out in the previous architectural year? The main focus is on the "da! Architektur in und aus Berlin" (da! Architecture in or from Berlin) exhibition projects. They are presented with expert texts, image and map material.

Renowned authors critically discuss current architectural topics, such as: How Berlin rediscovers the unloved architectural heritage of the seventies, how the federal government introduces new buildings that don’t convince everyone, or how Townhouse-living gradually changes the city.
